Welcome! UUFlint is an intergenerational
congregation of members and friends from Flint, from Genesee county,
from across mid-Michigan. We practice a liberal religion whose motto
might be "you don't have to think alike to love alike." We welcome
open-minded people whose souls might be satisfied by participation
in a community of acceptance, welcome and joy.
Sunday morning at 10:30 is the largest
expression of our congregation in worship. I invite you to come and
meet us and see if there is something here for you and your family.
We dress from "Sunday best" to quite casual; some of us sing well,
and others like to sing anyway; we hear a sermon for our hearts to
be moved or to contend with its ideas; we enjoy full-strength coffee
and herbal tea. Test us out and see whether you might want to join
our congregational family in its worship and work.
Other opportunities for spiritual
exploration take place in our weekly noon-time meditation on
Wednesdays, in our monthly drumming circles on Sunday evenings, and
our monthly Buddhist meditation on the fourth Sunday of the month at
9:00 a.m. Opportunities abound for learning and teaching, community
building and socializing, and engaging our greater community with
acts of charity and social justice action. Come explore with
us!
Don't hesitate to contact me if you'd
like to discuss our congregation, the Unitarian Universalist
tradition, and your own spiritual quest. Whether you find meaning in
traditional religion, in science and humanism, or in the dialogue
among them, UUFlint may be a place for you! Write me at

Wishing you joy, (Rev.) David Carl
